New for 2026! Since the 1970's Dorset Fine Arts has been producing an annual calendar featuring the joyful and thought-provoking art of Kinngait's renowned Inuit graphic artists and printmakers.

This calendar includes 12 beautiful prints from Kinngait (Cape Dorset) Annual Print Collections past and present, with each month accompanied by information about the print and stories from the artists.

Kinngait Studios is owned and operated by the West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative; a community run cultural organisation based in the Canadian Arctic which has been supporting the development of its established and emerging Inuit artistic members since 1959; many of whom hold national and international acclaim.

We are delighted to be the first gallery in Scotland to represent works for sale from Kinngait's flourishing artistic community. As well as the artwork featured in our Tales from the Arctic Exhibition we also have access to an extensive archive of historic and contemporary original prints, drawings, sculptures and reproduction prints which we can ship direct to your door.

Kinngait Studios

Kinngait, Qikiqtaaluk [Baffin Island], Nunavut, Canada

Since 1959, the artistic members of the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative based in Kinngait, have formed not only the oldest arts organisation in the Canadian Arctic but also the oldest professional printmaking studios in Canada. The Studios in Kinngait, and its commercial arm (Dorset Fine Arts) based in Toronto, support the dissemination of the co-op members’ artistic output across the globe.

Since their inception, all 3 organisations have grown alongside Kinngait’s community to support the development of multiple generations of artists; among which are some of Canada's most acclaimed sculptors, graphic artists and printmakers.
